A step back in time – first published 11 February 2014

The second week of February 2014 I found myself revisiting my lost youth. No, I didn’t go out buying mini skirts, dying my hair pink or spending all night in a nightclub. This case of revisiting my lost youth was more about trying to find college courses in my area. Storms on the horizon – first published 3 October 2013

Mostly I don’t feel old. Well, not until I look in the mirror anyway. In my head I guess I’m twenty, maybe twenty five. On 3 October 2013 though, I felt ancient. This was down to Ashleigh. This was the day she turned twelve. How did that happen? How could I have a twelve year old granddaughter? It just wasn’t possible, not when I was only twenty, or maybe twenty five. Bad weather in January 2013 scuppered all my plans to get outside. Although I needed to get cracking with the Moonwalk training I ended up spending most of my time in the kitchen cooking.
