With the big cats behind us we were on the last leg of our Marwell adventure, heading down the hill towards the place we’d started out two hours earlier. Across a field filled with Scimitar horned oryx, zebras and the odd muddy rhino, we got another glimpse of Marwell House. What a view they must have from their windows! Sleeping Tiger hidden zebras

Marwell was once a manor with a farm and Manor House and, as we left the wallabies and the red panda behind, we caught our first glimpse of Marwell House through the trees. If we had time we might visit it later but right now we had animals to see and miniature zebras to find. We were heading for the big cats, hopeful of seeing the tiger cubs born a few days ago. We’re going to the zoo, zoo, zoo, you can come too

The final part of the Zany Zebra puzzle, if you don’t count Ticket To Ride who was still at the ‘vet’ recovering from his swim in the Itchen, was at Marwell Zoo, in Owslebury just outside Winchester. The last time I visited Marwell, CJ was at playschool and it teemed down with rain. Today was supposed to be the hottest day of the year. Obviously, there was no way I was going to get away with going alone. In fact, not only did I have CJ with me, but Bard came along too. The Go Rhinos trail officially ended on 22 September 2013. All the beautiful, colourful rhinos that had been living in our city for ten weeks were being rounded up and taken back to where Go Rhinos began, Marwell Wildlife at Owslebury near Winchester where there are real live rhinos. For ten weeks I’d been wandering around searching for these wonderful sculptures and I’d shared all the city rhinos. Now it was time to share the out of town rhinos. They weren’t always easy to find
