Role reversal, injuries and a picnic in the park

These days it’s usually me standing on the sidelines and Commando running but today was supposed to be the other way round. The role reversal didn’t quite go to plan though. On Thursday night, when he was out hill running with the Spitfires, Commando injured his ankle. Suffice to say it has been a frustrating couple of days. Rest is not a word in his vocabulary and the more I went on about rest, ice, compression and elevation the more fraught the atmosphere in our little house became.  Continue reading Role reversal, injuries and a picnic in the park

Today is my birthday and it began with a bit of a headache. This may have had something to do with the champagne we opened last night to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary, or the thundery weather. Although no one has actually laughed at me in the street to the best of my knowledge, I’ve been told my walking style is a little odd. Personally being thought a little odd doesn’t particularly worry me. It does worry Commando slightly to be seen with me when I’m walking fast but I figure that’s his problem not mine.
